Notary Services
Virginia Electronic Notary.
Monument Solutions LLC is commissioned as a Virginia Electronic Notary, providing secure, convenient remote online notarization for individuals and businesses across the Commonwealth.
Remote Online Notarization
What Is Remote Online Notarization?
Remote Online Notarization (RON) allows documents to be notarized entirely online — without requiring the signer and notary to be in the same physical location. Virginia was among the first states to authorize RON, and Monument Solutions LLC is commissioned to perform these services under Virginia law.
Using secure audio-visual technology and identity verification, we can notarize your documents from anywhere — at a time that works for you. The result carries the same legal weight as an in-person notarization.
Monument Solutions LLC provides notarial acts only. We do not provide legal advice, draft legal documents, or advise on the legal effect of any document. If you have questions about the legal significance of a document you are signing, please consult a licensed attorney before proceeding.

The Process
How It Works
01
Schedule Your Session
Contact us to schedule a remote notarization session at a time convenient for you. We will confirm the document type and eligibility in advance.
02
Identity Verification
Prior to the session, you will complete a secure identity verification process as required by Virginia law. This typically includes credential analysis and knowledge-based authentication.
03
Live Video Session
We connect via secure audio-visual technology. You present your document, confirm your identity, and sign in the presence of the notary — all online.
04
Notarized Document Delivered
Your notarized document is completed with an electronic notarial seal and signature, and delivered to you securely. The document carries the same legal effect as an in-person notarization.
Before Your Session
What You Will Need
A device with camera and microphone
A computer, tablet, or smartphone with a working camera and microphone is required for the live video session.
Valid government-issued photo ID
A current, unexpired driver's license, passport, or other government-issued photo identification is required for identity verification.
Your document ready to sign
Have your document prepared and ready before the session. Do not sign the document in advance — it must be signed in the presence of the notary during the session.
A stable internet connection
A reliable internet connection is required to maintain the audio-visual session throughout the notarization.
